Acer Swift 3x, Aspire 5, Spin 3 and Spin 5 with 11th-gen Intel processors launched

At a Global Press Conference held yesterday, Taiwanese brand Acer announced a range of computing products. The company launched a new Swift 3x laptop and also refreshed the Spin 3, Spin 5 and Aspire 5 models with Intel’s 11th gen chipsets and new Iris Xe Max discrete GPU.

Chris Walker, Corporate VP and GM of Mobile Client Platforms, Intel said in a statement ‘It is exciting to see the new Aspire, Spin and Swift series of laptops take advantage of the real-world performance and platform integration delivered in new 11th Gen Intel Core processors.’

Acer Swift 3x  and Aspire 5 specifications and features

The Acer Swift 3x features a 14-inch FHD IPS display with an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is lightweight measuring 1.37 kgs and features a sleek chassis. The laptop comes with a fingerprint scanner for secure Windows Hello authentication. 

The Acer Swift 3x is powered by 11th gen Intel Core processors paired with Iris Xe Max GPU. It is equipped with dual heat pipes to cool down the temperature. The laptop runs Windows 10. The Acer Swift 3x offers a battery life of up to 17.5 hours and supports fast charging. Connectivity-wise, the laptop comes with WiFi 6, USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen2 and Thunderbolt 4 port. 

As for the Acer Aspire 5, the laptop is offered in 14, 15 and 17-inch display variants. All three laptops now come with Intel’s latest 11th generation Core processor with Iris Xe graphics. Buyers also get the option of adding a discrete Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPUs. The machines pack up to 24GB DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB SSD and 2TB HDD storage. 

The Acer Aspire 5 offers a FHD IPS display with Acer Colour Intelligence. It supports dual-band WiFi 6 connectivity.

The Acer Spin 3 and Spin 5 come with the latest Intel Core processor

The Acer Spin 5 and Spin 3 had debuted at CES earlier this year. The two laptops are 2-in-1 convertible offerings with touchscreen support. The Spin 3 has got a major update with the device now featuring a 13.3-inch display bearing a WQXGA resolution of 2,500 x 1,600 pixels. On the other hand, the Spin 5 features the same 13.5-inch display with 2K resolution. Both the Spin 3 and Spin 5 come with a built-in Acer Active stylus.

Under the hood, the Acer Spin 3 and Spin 5 are powered by up to 11th gen Core i7 processors with Intel Xe graphics. The laptops pack up to 16GB RAM, dual SSDs, multiple USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 and up to 15-hours of battery life. 

Acer Swift 3x, Aspire 5, Spin 3 and Spin 5 pricing and availability

In North America, the Acer Swift 3x carries a starting price tag of $899.99 (~Rs 66,218) and will be available from December. The 14-inch Aspire 5 starts at $499.99 (~Rs 36,755) while the 17.3-inch variants start at $549.99 (~Rs 40,438). The Acer Spin 3 and Spin 5 will be available from Feburary and March next year with prices starting at $849.99 (~Rs 62,536) and $999.99 (~Rs 73,584). India availability is expected to be announced soon.
