Acer launches Swift 5, Swift 3 notebooks at IFA 2019

Acer conducted a pre-event at IFA 2019 in Berlin yesterday, and launched Swift 5 and Swift 3 ultra-portable notebooks. The offerings run Windows 10 and depend on 10th Gen Intel Core processors for performance.

Acer Swift 5 and Swift 3 notebooks: specifications and features

Acer Swift 5 is called the lightest 14-inch notebook by the brand and comes bearing a metal chassis. The IPS display bears full HD resolution with minimum bezels around the corners and a screen-to-body ratio of 86.4 percent. The laptop is 14.95mm thick and sports integrated Intel Iris Pro graphics card. There is also a new discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics option available to the users. As mentioned above, it relies on 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 which is supported by 512GB of SSD storage.

Acer Swift 3 notebook launched

The Swift 5 houses a USB3.1 Type-C connector that supports Thunderbolt 3, dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and supports Windows Hello through a built-in fingerprint reader which is also used to log in. Acer claims a 12.5 hours battery life for the product. The notebook supports fast charging and with 30 minutes of charge, it can run for 4.5 hours.

The Acer Swift 3, on the other hand, weighs 1.19kg and measures 15.95mm in thickness. It houses a 14-inch full HD IPS display panel and Intel Iris Plus graphics along with an optional NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU. This notebook also features 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor with 512GB of SSD storage and 16GB of RAM. Thunderbolt 3 and dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6 is also included in the package along with a 12.5 hours battery life. The notebook can work for up to 4 hours with 30 minutes of charging\. The product is also laced with Acer Color Intelligence and Acer ExaColor Technology for enhanced images.

Acer Swift 5 and Swift 3 notebooks: price and availability

The Acer Swift 5 notebook has been launched with a price of Rs 69,999 while the Acer Swift 3 comes with a price tag of Rs 59,999. Both the notebooks will be available from September end in India. The Acer Swift 3 will be available in two colour options – Steel Grey and Millenial Pink.
