Acer Swift Edge laptop has been launched in India. According to the company, it is the world’s lightest laptop with a 16-inch screen. Its thickness is only 12.95mm, and it weighs 1.17 kg.
The Swift Edge notebook comes with an OLED display and a Microsoft Pluton security chip, which is designed to store sensitive information in an isolated way so that it remains protected from hackers. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and offers 1TB of storage. It supports fast charging and comes with a one-year international travellers’ warranty. The Acer Swift Edge has a 16-inch OLED panel that offers a 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,400 pixels, 500 nits of brightness, VESA DisplayHD True Black 500, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and TUV Rheinland Eyesafe certification. It comes preinstalled with Windows 11 Home.
The Swift Edge is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 6800U octa-core processor that clocks at 2.7GHz. It is assisted by 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCI Gen 4 NVMe storage.
The notebook is fitted with an 84-key backlit keyboard with a clickable touchpad. It packs a 54Wh battery that supports 65W USB-PD charging. The laptop features a Full HD webcam that supports 60fps video recording with Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR). For audio, it comes equipped with stereo speakers.
When it comes to ports, it offers options like 1 x USB Type-C, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 with charging support, 1 x USB 3.2, and an HDM 2.1 port. On the connectivity front, the Swift Edge comes with support for Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E.
