Acer, a brand often known for its powerful gaming laptops and 2-in-1 notebooks, just got into a whole territory as far as its gaming systems are concerned It just launched a new 15.6-inch thin and light Predator Triton 700 notebook that can deliver compromised-free gaming, thanks to its Intel’s 7th-gen Kaby Lake processor and Nvidia’s GTX 10-series graphics cards.
Design-wise, it has certainly made some interesting choices like the transparent Gorilla Glass touchpad that sits above the keyboard. The Triton 700 boasts of its slimness and coloured backlit mechanical keys. Specs-wise, it offers a 15.6-inch Full HD display and 16GB of RAM, that can be expanded up to 32GB.
The Predator Helios 300, on the other hand, is available in two models: a 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch screens. It is powered by the similar processor and amount of RAM. It weighs 2.7kg and 3kg.
Acer also introduced the Predator X27 4K gaming monitor that has 3840×2160 stretched across a 27-inch display. It features a standard 16:9 aspect ratio and supports Nvidia’s G-Sync HDR. Acer believes its Predator lineup will do better in 2017 than current 64% year-over-year-growth.
Although Acer hasn’t revealed pricing details, you can expect all aforementioned devices to hit the shelves by this summer.
