Airtel is reportedly offering high-speed data and free calls to inactive users. Airtel is offering free high-speed data and calls to inactive users
As spotted by OnlyTech, Airtel is sending an SMS to an inactive number offering 1GB of free high-speed data and limited duration incoming and outgoing free calls. The source posted screenshots of an SMS sent by Airtel to a number which has not been recharged from a month. According to the SMS, the telco is offering a free calling facility to the user for three days. The validity of the free 1GB data is also limited to three days.
Before the three-day duration comes to an end, Airtel sends yet another SMS urging the user to recharge again to continue the services. This seems to be a move by the telco to bring back inactive users and urge them to start using the services again. As of now, it seems that the free benefits are being rolled out to a select few users on a trial basis.
Notably, a few days ago, Airtel credited free extra 1GB data for three days in the account of those recharging with Rs 48 or Rs 49 packs. This benefit was also rolled out only to a select few users.
