Airtel has launched a new Smart Recharge pack in India in the denomination of Rs 128. Notably, this pack doesn’t come with any calling or data benefits. Instead, it is designed to offer validity to users who want to keep their number active and receive incoming calls, or use any of the telco’s talktime packs.

With the launch of the Rs 128 smart recharge pack, Airtel now has four smart recharge packs to offer to its customers. This packs are priced at Rs 45, Rs 49, Rs 79 and Rs 128, respectively. Here are all details of the Rs 128 Airtel Smart Recharge pack.

Airtel has launched Rs 128 Smart Recharge pack with a validity of 28 days
Airtel has launched the Rs 128 smart recharge pack for those who just want validity without any benefits. The plan offers 28 days of validity without any additional calling, data or SMS benefit. Users can, however, still make local and STD calls at 2.5p/sec and send SMS at Rs 1 locally, and nationally at Rs 1.5 per SMS. Additionally, users can use data at 50p/MB using this plan.
Notably, the Rs 45 smart recharge pack also offers the same tariff as the Rs 128 pack and also comes with 28 days validity. At the time of writing this, Airtel official website was showing both plans listed. We can assume that the Rs 45 plan will be discontinued or the Rs 128 plan will be updated with new benefits.
As for Rs 49 and Rs 79 Airtel smart recharge packs, these plans offer data and talktime benefits apart from 28 days validity. The former comes with 100MB data and Rs 38.52 of talktime and the latter offers 200MB data with Rs 128 of talktime. Post the data limit has been exhausted, Airtel will charge 50p/MB.
Airtel Talk time recharge packs
Apart from keeping their numbers active, Airtel smart recharge packs are useful for those who recharge with Airtel Talktime packs. The caveat with Airtel Talktime recharge plans is that they don’t come with a validity of their own and users need to get a smart recharge pack to obtain validity. Airtel is offering six talktime plans in denominations of Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 100, Rs 500, Rs 1,000, and Rs 5,000. These plans offer talktime of Rs 7.47, Rs 14.95, Rs 81.75, Rs 423.73, Rs 847.46, and Rs 4,237.29, respectively.
