Airtel Rs 129 and Rs 199 prepaid plans revised, now offer 28 days validity and extra data

Airtel has revised its Rs 129 and Rs 199 prepaid plans for a select few users in India, with increased validity and data benefits. These plans were previously being offered with 24 days validity to all users and are still listed on the official website with the same duration. However, the telco is now sending SMSes to select users the country notifying them about the updated benefits.

The Airtel prepaid plans of Rs 129 and Rs 199 offer daily data, calling and SMS benefits to users. The revised plans were first spotted by OnlyTech, and according to the screenshot posted on the blog, the new benefits are also reflecting on the official site in some regions. Notably, the telco recently expanded the availability of these two plans from select few circles to pan India.

Airtel’s Rs 129 and Rs 199 prepaid plans are now offering 28 days of validity to select Airtel customers now.  Notably, these plans offered 24 days of validity earlier. The telco has also upgraded the data benefits of the Rs 199 prepaid plan, which now offers 1.5GB high-speed data every day instead of 1GB to select users. The data benefits of the Rs 129 prepaid plan remain the same, which is 1GB per day.

The calling and SMS benefits offered by both plans also remain untouched by the telco. The Rs 129 plan offers 300 SMS for the duration of the validity and unlimited calling on local and national numbers. The Rs 199 prepaid plan also offers unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day for the duration of the validity.

Airtel’s Rs 249 plan offers the same benefits as the Rs 199 plan. However, the difference between the two is that the latter offers Airtel Thanks Gold benefits, including 1-year access to online classes from Shaw Academy and Airtel Xstream Premium.
