Reliance Jio recently launched a new annual ‘Work from home’ prepaid plan worth Rs 2,399, offering 2GB data per day for 365 days. According to the largest private telco, the latest annual plan offers 33 percent more benefits compared to the same plans from the competition. The new plan joined the Rs 2,121 annual plan in Jio’s portfolio, which offers 1.5GB data per day for 336 days.

Now, Bharti Airtel has launched a new annual prepaid plan to take on the Rs 2,399 Work From Home yearly plan by Jio. The new annual plan from Airtel is priced at Rs 2,498, and offers the same data benefits as its Jio counterpart.

Airtel’s new annual plan is called Airtel Rs 2498 ‘Truly Unlimited’, and as the name suggests, will retail at Rs 2,498. The new plan comes with a validity of 365 days, just like Jio’s annual plan. Moreover, the Airtel prepaid annual plan also offers the same 2GB per day data benefits to its users. Apart from that, subscribers get 100 SMS per day and unlimited calls. The latter is where the Airtel plan comes out ahead of the Reliance Jio Rs 2,399 Work from Home plan.
The Airtel Rs 2,498 ‘Truly Unlimited’ annual prepaid recharge offers its users unlimited local, STD and roaming calls to any network within India. In comparison, the Jio plan offers unlimited Jio-to-Jio calling, with a cap of 12,000 minutes on calls to other networks.
Apart from this, Airtel users will get additional benefits like anti-virus protection for their phones, Airtel Xstream Premium, free Hello Tunes, ZEE5 Premium subscription and more.
