Airtel started offering ZEE5 premium subscriptions to all Airtel Thanks prepaid, postpaid and broadband subscribers in May 2020. Prior to that, the telecom operator was offering the same benefit only to its Platinum postpaid customers, who could avail a ZEE5 premium subscription as long as they stayed on the Platinum tier.

Now, the privately-owned telco has announced two new prepaid plans for its users, which offer ZEE5 premium access for one month. The new plans come with denominations of Rs 289 and Rs 79, respectively.
Airtel launches Rs 289 prepaid pack with ZEE5 premium subscription
The Airtel Rs 289 plan offers 1.5GB data and 100 SMS per day along with unlimited calling
The Airtel Rs 289 prepaid plan is being offered by the telco under its Airtel Special Recharge – STV Combo category. The plan comes with a validity of 28 days, and offers access to the complete ZEE5 catalogue including premium content for the same duration. Other benefits include Airtel Xstream Premium access and a Wynk Music subscription, along with 1 year access to free online courses with Shaw Academy and free Hellotunes.
As part of the plan, users get truly unlimited local, STD and roaming calls to any network in the country. The users also get 100 SMS as well as 1.5GB high-speed data per day with the new plan. The Rs 289 plan is listed on both the Airtel website and Airtel Thanks app.
Airtel launches Rs 79 top-up pack with ZEE5 premium subscription
Airtel has also announced a Rs 79 top-up pack, which will offer access to the ZEE5 catalogue including premium content for a month. Other benefits of the Rs 79 top-up include a talktime of Rs 64 at 60p/min local & STD calls, and 200MB free data. The top-up comes with a validity of 28 days.
This pack will be available on the Digital store section of the Airtel Thanks app. At the time of writing this article, the Rs 79 top-up pack doesn’t mention the ZEE5 subscription benefits, but we expect it to be updated soon.
