The Japanese appliance brand, AKAI has launched a new series of Amazon Fire TV Edition televisions in the country today. The brand has launched four different sizes, including 32-, 43-, 50- and 55-inch Fire TV Edition TVs. However, currently only the 43-inch model is available and the other three models are expected to arrive soon.
Notably, AKAI is not the first brand to launch smart TVs with integrated Fire TV support and Amazon Fire TV OS. The Indian brand, Onida also offers Fire TV Edition televisions (review) in 32- and 43-inch display sizes. Let’s take a look at all the features of the newly launched AKAI Fire TV televisions.
AKAI Fire TV Edition television specifications and features
The AKAI Fire TV Edition comes in four display options – 32-inch, 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch. All TVs feature DLED panels with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and 178-degree wide viewing angles. Moreover, the resolution output is FHD for 32-inch and 43-inch models and Ultra HD for the other two. On the audio front, the AKAI Fire TV Edition series are equipped with 20W speakers. The sound output is further tuned by Dolby Audio and DTS Tru Surround technology.
Coming to the core specifications, the TVs are powered by a quad-core processor backed by 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. On the software front, the TVs boot Fire TV OS with support for major OTT platforms like Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube, and Apple TV+, among others.
AKAI is providing an Alexa-enabled remote control, which lets users search content, play music, switch inputs between on-demand and live TV, control smart home devices, and access Alexa skills using voice commands. The remote control also has dedicated buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, Amazon Music and Apps+. Connectivity options include three HDMI ports, one USB port, one IR port, and Wi-Fi.
AKAI Fire TV Edition televisions price in India
AKAI has not revealed the pricing and availability details of the 50- and 55-inch models yet. The 32-inch model has been priced at Rs 14,999, whereas the 43-inch variant will set you back Rs 23,999. As of now, only the 43-inch TV is available in India through Amazon.
