Alcatel A310 10-inch Tablet Launched at a Starting Price of Rs. 6,999

On: February 20, 2018

French smartphone brand Alcatel introduced a new tablet in India dubbed as the A310. It’s a 10-inch device and comes with a bunch of features that you would expect from a tablet. There are two variants of the A310, one with voice calling support and another without it. The lower variant starts at Rs. 6,999 and the top one is available for Rs. 8,999. Both models are Flipkart exclusive and are already available for purchase.

The Alcatel A310 comes with a 10-inch HD display. This is an IPS panel and is good enough in this price range. Since the screen size is quite large too, viewing multimedia on this tablet shall be a pleasant experience.

The tablet rocks a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and another 2-megapixel camera on the front. You can’t expect excellent pictures out of them but they can prove to be decent in daylight conditions.

In terms of performance, the A310 runs on the MediaTek MT8127 chipset. This quad-core processor is coupled with 1GB of RAM to carry out multi-tasking. On the software side of things, the tablet runs on a dated Android 5.0 Lollipop. The 10-inch device is powered by a 4,060mAh battery unit.

The top variant, as mentioned earlier, comes with voice calling facility as in 4G VoLTE. Moreover, it also has slightly better internals. There is 2GB of RAM and it is accompanied by MediaTek MTK375B. Surprisingly, this variant runs on Android 7.0 Nougat as opposed to Lollipop.

Speaking about the launch of Alcatel A310, Praveen Valeecha, Regional director of Alcatel India says, “The tablet comes with an array of features that are unprecedented at this price and shall change the shape of this segment entirely,” Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India, said in a statement.

This will be another budget segment tablet with decent specifications. Do you think it offers enough for the price it costs? Let us know in the comments below.
