Alcatel launched the PIXI 4 (5), an entry-level budget 4G phone in India for Rs.4,999. The phone comes in Volcano Black, Sharp Blue, Metal Gold, Metal Silver colors and is available exclusively on Flipkart. The earlier PIXI 3 did not make its way into the Indian market, making the PIXI 4 (5) Alcatel’s first phone in India under the PIXI series.
In terms of specs, the Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) comes with a 5-inch screen featuring 854 x 480 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1GHz and Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. The device comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) has an 8-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, delivering features such as HDR, panorama, photo editor, photo live filters, face detection, geo-tagging, and video stabilization. It also comes with a 5-megapixel selfie camera with a front flash. The device comes equipped with a number of sensors such G-sensor and proximity.
The device supports VoLTE and packs in a 2000mAh battery. In addition to this, the Alcatel PIXI 4 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. As far as the connectivity is concerned, the phone comes with support for 4G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. The Alcatel PIXI 4 comes with a similar set of specifications to that of the Panasonic P77.
