Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power With 5000mAh Battery Announced

On: September 26, 2016

Last week, Alcatel’s entry-level budget 4G device, the Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) launched in India for Rs. 4,999. Another Alcatel phone, the Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power is now listed on the company website with a limited set of information available. However, as the name suggests Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power packs in a massive 5000mAh battery with quick charge support. As a result, the battery is what seems to be the unique selling point of this device.

Specs wise the Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power sports a 5.5-inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and 267 PPI pixel density. The camera also comes with video stabilization (EIS) feature. That aside the device houses a 13-megapixel primary camera at the back with LED flash as well as a 5-mgepixel selfie camera with front flash.

The company has not revealed any information related to the processor which powers the device. However, according to a few media reports, the Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power is powered by MediaTek MT6735M processor and 1GB RAM. It comes with an 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The 5000mAh battery can act as a power bank and charge another smartphone. The phone also comes with a power saving mode. Even though the device is listed online for quite some time now, many crucial details have still been kept hidden i.e. the version of Android OS running inside, price, and availability. However, the recently launched Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Hence we expect the same version of Android to run on the Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power.
