Vivo’s young IQOO sub-brand already has a trio of great smartphones in its kitty, however, a recent leak hinted that the company is readying an IQOO Lite with an alleged model number V1936A soon. The same model number has appeared on Geekbench today. The handset has recently been seen on the CCC portal, however, it has yet to appear on TENAA. When that happens, we shall be able to uncover the exact identity of the handset and its detailed specifications as well as design.
Coming to the Geekbench log, the Vivo V1936A indeed appears to be a flagship with the ‘msmnile’ which is, in fact, the Snapdragon 855/855+ SoC. The frequency, however, is lower than Qualcomm’s flagship CPU even though the scores are convincing enough. Besides that, there’s mention of Android 9.0 and 8GB of RAM. Now, the same model’s appearance on 3C hinted at a 33W fast charging capacity whereas the flagship IQOO model has 44W charging speeds.
It is worth noting that IQOO already has an IQOO Neo model with a Snapdragon 845 SoC but this new handset is supposed to be its successor. However, Vivo has recently trademarked a bucket load of new monikers including NEX Pro, NEX Neo, NEX Lite, Vivox Pro, Vivox Lite and iQOO Lite with the EUIPO. This makes it difficult to predict the exact identity of this mystery V1936A model. Speculation suggests the handset will boast an OLED display, a 4,500mAh battery, and a waterdrop notch design along with an in-screen fingerprint reader.
It is quite possible that the handset is priced below $330 if it is indeed the IQOO Lite. That’s because the IQOO comes at a cost of 2,698 Yuan (~$369).
