Alleged Sony Xperia 2 & Moto One Action Passes Through EEC Certification

The Eurasian Economic Commission has certified multiple upcoming smartphones and tablets from manufacturers such as Sony, Motorola, Samsung, and Huawei. Perhaps the most interesting of the new models certified by the EEC is the Sony J9210. According to some speculations, J9210 is likely to be a variant of the company’s next flagship smartphone, the Xperia 2.

Sony Xperia 2 Certified by EEC?

The current Sony Xperia 1 carries the model number J9110, so it is certainly possible that the J9210 might actually be a variant of the Xperia 2. Some rumors suggest the Xperia 2 is likely to make its debut sometime later this year. We can expect it to feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset as the Xperia 1 and a 4K OLED display. However, in a few other areas, it could be a significant improvement over the Xperia 1.

Next, we have the Moto XT2013-2, which is expected to be a variant of the Moto One Action. The affordable version of the Motorola One Vision is tipped to sport a polycarbonate back with two rear-facing cameras. While the resolution of the secondary sensor has not been confirmed, a recent leak revealed the smartphone will have a 12.6MP primary sensor. For selfies as well, the phone will feature a 12.6MP resolution snapper on the front. It is expected to come in a total of three memory configurations: 3GB RAM + 32GB, 4GB RAM + 64GB, and 4GB RAM + 128GB. The rest of the key features will include a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a punch-hole cutout, an Exynos 9609 chipset, 3500mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The EEC has also certified the upcoming Galaxy Tab S5 featuring model number SM-T865. Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablet will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, as revealed by a recent Geekbench listing. Huawei MediaPad M6 (VRD-AL09) variant has bagged certification as well.
