Korean smartphone maker Samsung is having a hard time dealing with its latest smartphone the Galaxy Note 7. The smartphone launched a month back has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. There were 35 cases of the Galaxy Note 7 exploding before Samsung officially issued a global recall. Samsung claimed to have found the source of the exploding phones pinning it down to faulty batteries. The company claimed to have fixed the issues and had started replacements for the said smartphone.
The replacement devices, seem to have the same issue. There have been a few cases reported recently where a safe replacement has exploded causing harm to the user. While there has been no communication from Samsung over the issue. US Carriers like AT&T and Verizon have halted sales of the smartphone altogether. Verizon has also stopped issuing replacement Note 7 units giving users the choice of a complete refund or another smartphone.
In India, the Note 7 launch was delayed to October 7 but the device still isn’t officially launched. While the people who have pre-booked the Note 7 were offered a few freebies, it looks unlikely that the smartphone will find many takers at the moment. The Note is a hazard and may cause injury to you or others around you. In case you were planning to pick this phone up, here are alternative that will be a much safer bet.
