Huami has been launching a slew of smartwatches lately. The brand had launched the second-generation Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 in China back in September this year. The former made its debut in India recently while the latter is tipped to launch soon in the country.
Alongside the premium smartwatches, Huami also announced the GTS 2 Mini earlier this month. Now the brand has introduced toned-down variants of the GTR 2 and GTS 2. The latest offerings are dubbed as Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e.
Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e specifications and features
The Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e retain the same specifications and features from the premium offerings. The former comes with a circular AMOLED display measuring 1.39-inches while the latter offers a larger 1.65-inch screen in a rectangular dial.
Both smartwatches are water-resistant up to 50 meters. The Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e skip the Classic edition and are only available in Sports editions with three colour options.
The Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e come with 24 x 7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 sensor, sleep breathing quality monitor, and sleep tracking. Both devices offer upto 90 sports modes. The latest smartwatches lack Wi-Fi and users have to rely on the phone’s connection. The wearable devices retain NFC connectivity.
The Amazfit GTR 2e is backed by the same 471mAh battery as the GTR 2 but now offers 24 days of usage with regular use instead of 14 days. In basic mode, the watch lasts upto 45 days which is up from 38 days on the GTR 2. As for the Amazfit GTS 2, the wearable device also keeps the same battery as the GTS 2 but battery life under regular and basic modes is increased to 14 days and 24 days respectively.
Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e pricing and availability
The Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e are priced at RMB 799 (~Rs 8,986). Both devices are up for purchase on JD through Amazfit’s website with sales commencing from December 24th. It’s unclear if the smartwatches will arrive in India.
