Last week, Huami debuted the Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch in India. Now, the Xiaomi-backed brand has revealed the price and availability of the Amazfit GTS 2 in the country. To recall, both smartwatches went official in China in September this year. The Indian variants retain the same specifications as its Chinese counterparts.
Apart from the square design, the Amazfit GTS 2 also shares the same features from the GTR 2. Let’s take a look at what the device offers out of the box.
Amazfit GTS 2 specifications and features
The Amazfit GTS 2 sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display in a square-shape dial with a crown on the right side. There is a 3D Corning Glass with anti-fingerprint and scratch-resistant coating. The smartwatch’s screen can rotate to 180-degrees, so both left and right-handed users can wear it. The device offers 50 watch faces, always-on display mode and is 5ATM water-resistant.
The Amazfit GTS 2 is equipped with a 24×7 heart rate monitor, SpO2 blood oxygen saturation monitor, and PAI health assessment system. It also tracks sleep quality and stress levels. The wearable device comes with support for 90 built-in sports modes and it can also be worn during swimming activity.
The Amazfit GTS 2 allows users to store music locally with 3GB onboard storage and it can be played via Bluetooth. Much like the Amazfit GTR 2, the GTS 2 ships with a built-in Alexa assistant as well as an offline assistant when the device is connected to the internet. There’s also an inbuilt microphone for receiving calls from the smartphone via Bluetooth. The GTS 2 comes with wear detection function that locks the device when it is removed from the user’s wrist.
Users get all the convenient features like social media updates, events, sedentary reminders, weather, incoming calls/messages on the smartwatch.
The Amazfit GTS 2 is backed by a 246mAh battery unit that is capable of lasting 7 days under typical usage and 20 days in basic mode. In continuous GPS mode, the device offers 25 hours of battery life. Connectivity options on the smartwatch include WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It is compatible with Android 5.0 and iOS 10.0 or above devices via Zepp app.
Amazfit GTS 2 price in India
The Amazfit GTS 2 is priced at Rs 12,999 in India which is the same as the Sport edition of GTR 2. The device is offered in Midnight Black colour. It will be available for purchase on the brand’s official website and Amazon.in starting December 21st. Amazfit has also announced that the GTS 2 Mini is expected to arrive in India around Christmas.
