The newest offering from the company comes with the same circular design but in Microcrystalline Zirconium Ceramic frame with silicon straps. Huami claims that the ceramic body of the latest wearable has undergone precision processing comprising 24 complex processes to make it sturdy. The display on the wearable measures 1.39-inches with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and a pixel density of 326ppi, which Huami claims to be retina grade. The screen is protected by a layer of 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3, while the watch flaunts an IP68 rating as well.

As for the performance, the Amazfit Verge 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC ticking at its core. The processor is further backed by 512MB RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. On the software front, the watch is running Amazfit OS with support for Android 4.4 or iOS 10 and above. The Verge 2 is powered by a 420mAh battery, which the company claims can last up to 28 hours on 4G. Speaking of 4G, the smartwatch supports network connectivity and VoLTE calling through eSIM.

Coming to the fitness tracking, the Verge 2 is capable of tracking 10 sports activities including running, walking, indoor running, indoor riding, elliptical, mountaineering, outdoor riding, football, skipping, and trail running. There’s an inbuilt GPS module as well. Amazfit has also launched an ECG Edition of the Verge 2, which can show 60 minutes of ECG data locally for up to 7 days. Another highlight of the Amazfit Verge 2 is narrowband network technology (NB-IoT), which doesn’t rely on Bluetooth to connect with your smartphone.
