Amazfit Verge Youth Edition With 20 Day Battery Life Launched In China

Xiaomi-backed Huami has launched a new smartwatch called the Amazfit Youth Edition. The smartwatch resembles the premium Amazfit Verge and seems like a lite variant of the same.

Specs & Features:

As for the technical specifications and features, the Amazfit Youth Edition sports a circular 1.3-inch display with a diameter of 43mm. It is fitted with an AMOLED panel as well as Gorilla Glass 3 on the top. Huami says that there is a coating on top of the screen which prevents fingerprint smudges from accumulating on the screen during use. The smartwatch is IP68 rated water resistant.

The Amazfit Youth Edition is lightweight weighing just 46g ideally made for lightweight sports and daily use. It comes with a silicone strap that is removable like the Amazfit Pace and Stratos. The wearable device comes with various features like real-time motion tracking, heart rate monitoring, and offline payment. It supports automatic heart rate monitoring throughout the day and users will be able to pay attention to the heart rate changes in different periods of time. The watch will vibrate immediately when the heart rate exceeds a warning value. The device also records sleep data, sleep quality, and a built-in sedentary reminder. Users can also control music playback from the smartwatch.

The Amazfit Youth Editon offers a variety of sports mode with support for 11 different sports including golfing, riding, running, hiking, soccer, and gym training. On the connectivity front, it comes with support for GPS and GLONASS. The Amazfit Youth Edition is backed by a 390mAh battery and is claimed to deliver up to 20 days of battery life. With GPS usage, the battery can last for 40 hours.

Pricing & Availability:

The Amazfit Youth Edition has been released in China for 499 Yuan (~Rs 5,042) and is currently on pre-order. There are no details currently whether the smartwatch will come to India. However, it will likely arrive since the Amazfit Verge is already available in the country.
