The Amazon Fire TV Cube combines the features of the Fire TV Stick streaming devices and Echo range of Alexa-enabled smart speakers. The device lets users control their TV and other smart gadgets using their voice. It comes with eight mics for far-field voice recognition to enable the Alexa voice assistant. The streaming device comes with support for Dolby Vision and 4K Ultra HD content. It also features support for HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos audio.

The second-generation Fire TV Cube features Local Voice Control, which enables on-device processing of voice commands without having to rely on online servers. This enables faster execution of the most frequently used voice commands. On the connectivity front, the device features dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi (MIMO), Bluetooth 5.0 + LE, IR sensors, HDMI, and micro-USB.

Notably, Amazon rolled out its new Fire TV interface for the Fire TV Cube and Fire TV Stick 4K last month. The company had previously made the redesigned UI available for the Fire TV Stick (3rd-gen) and Fire TV Stick Lite.
