Amazon Kindle 2022 has been launched today. It is the most affordable device in the Kindle lineup. The latest offering also arrives as the successor to the 2019 version of the Kindle. It packs significant upgrades over its predecessor. 

The Kindle 2022 is said to be the lightest and compact e-reader to date. Notably, the latest entry-level Kindle also borrows some features from the premium Paperwhite model. Read on to know what the Kindle 2022 offers out of the box.

Amazon Kindle 2022 features and price

The Amazon Kindle 2022 has a 6-inch front-lit E-ink display with a resolution of 300 PPI (up from 167ppi) for a better reading experience. There is a four-LED setup in the front, which can be adjusted depending on the required amount of light.  Dimension-wise, the new Kindle model is slightly smaller than the Paperwhite version measuring 157.8 x 108.6 x 8.0mm and weighing 158 grams. 

Another major upgrade to the Kindle 2022 is in terms of storage. Amazon has increased the storage capacity to 16 GB on the latest model from 8GB on its predecessor. The Kindle 2022 is claimed to last for up to 6 weeks with minutes of daily reading and Wi-Fi turned off. The e-reader also features a USB-C port for charging compared to the previous version.

Amazon Kindle 2022 pricing and availability 

The Kindle 2022 costs $99.99 (~Rs 7,876) for the ad-supported variant whereas the ad-free version is priced at $119 (~Rs 9,467). It is available for pre-order with sales commencing from October 12th. The e-reader can be purchased in Black and Denim (blue) colours.
