Amazon miniTV has launched in India. It is a free video streaming service for curated web series, fashion, and tech videos. Unlike Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service, which is available as a standalone app, miniTV can be accessed within the Amazon India shopping app.

Amazon miniTV has arrived as a rival to Flipkart’s in-app video streaming service called Flipkart Video. At present, the miniTV service is available only for Android users. The retail giant will be rolling out the iOS and mobile web versions of miniTV in the coming months.

Amazon has collaborated with famous studios like TVF, Pocket Aces, and leading comedians such as Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Shruti Arjun Anand, Elvish Yadav, Prajakta Koli, Swagger Sharma, Aakash Gupta, and Nishant Tanwar to bring free content through miniTV. There is a dedicated food section that gives access to contents from Kabita’s Kitchen, Cook with Nisha, and Gobble.

Apart from staying informed on the latest information from the tech world through tech expert Trakin Tech, miniTV users can also watch interesting videos on fashion and beauty from experts like Sejal Kumar, Malvika Sitlani, Jovita George, Prerna Chhabra, and ShivShakti.

How to watch Amazon mini TV?

To use miniTV, users need to open the Amazon app and then scroll down to see a miniTV banner. Tapping on it will open the free video streaming service. Since it is a free of cost platform, users will encounter ads while watching videos.

Prime Video continues as a paid streaming service and it is available only for users with Prime membership, which costs Rs 999 per year and Rs 329 for three months. Prime Video also gives access to exclusive content such as Amazon Originals and popular TV shows. Apart from mobile and PC, Prime Video is also available on smart TVs.
