The mystery has now been solved as Amazon Prime Video has now launched its Mobile Edition plan, which in short is ME. The newest plan from the OTT provider competes directly with Netflix’s Mobile plan. While the Netflix Mobile plan is a standalone plan which can be purchased individually, Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition plan comes with select Airtel plans at present. As of now, you can only get the Prime Video Mobile Edition if you recharge using eligible Airtel plans. Airtel users can recharge with prepaid bundles to enjoy Prime Video Mobile Edition along with data and other benefits. All Airtel customers can enjoy a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition by simply signing for Amazon from the Airtel Thanks app.

The Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition Airtel prepaid bundles start at Rs 89 for 28 days subscription to Mobile Edition and 6GB data. Next up is the Rs 299 Prime Video Mobile Edition Airtel bundle which offers the Mobile Edition subscription and 1.5GB of data per day for 28 days.

There’s a Rs 349 Prime Video Mobile Edition Airtel prepaid bundle offering full Amazon Prime membership with unlimited calling and 2GB of data per day for 28 days. The company has also announced Rs 131 prepaid bundle offering full Amazon Prime membership for 30 days without any additional benefit.

In comparison, the Netflix Mobile plan is priced at Rs 199 and can be purchased from within the app or from the website.

Both Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition and Netflix Mobile plan offer SD quality streaming to customers, which is created especially for a mobile-first country like India. Additionally, both these are single-user plan, which means only one individual can watch content on one device.

Interested users can go to their Airtel Thanks app and sign up for a 30-day free trial. Post free trial, the cheapest Prime Video Mobile Edition Airtel plan starts at Rs 89 for 28 days and 6GB data. Then there’s the Rs 299 plan offering  Prime Video Mobile Edition for 28 days with 1.5GB data per day. Additionally, all Airtel Truly Unlimited prepaid plans from Rs 149 to Rs 2,498 are offering the Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition. No other telco is offering Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition as of now.

Netflix Mobile plan, on the other hand, is available for free only for Jio users. The Mukesh Ambani-led telco offers the Netflix Mobile plan for free with its JioPostpaid Plus plans. The JioPostpaid Plus plans start at Rs 399 and go up to Rs 1,499.
