- Amazon has just launched its most affordable Prime video plan, which costs Rs 599
- It is a mobile-only plan with streaming restricted to Standard Definition (SD) quality only
While other streaming services are hiking their prices, Amazon has unveiled its cheapest annual Prime Video subscription. The new plan, dubbed the Prime Video Mobile Edition plan, is now available in India for Rs 599 per year.
Interested customers can purchase the annual subscription from the company’s official website or mobile app. The company stated in a statement. “Prime Video mobile version represents a significant step toward making quality entertainment across languages as prevalent in the country as smartphones.”
Amazon Prime Video Rs 599 plan
As you already know, this is a mobile-only plan and includes only Standard Definition (SD) content quality. However, the good news is it still allows you to download Prime Video shows and movies for offline viewing. Another limitation of the new plan is that it will only support one device. This means you can’t share your streaming plan with friends or family.
The latest announcement is part of the company’s plan to boost its video platform to compete with other players in India. However, the regular Amazon Prime Video plan costs Rs 1,499 per year. But, it includes a host of extra benefits like access to music streaming and faster deliveries of various products.
