- The Ampere Magnus EX can run for up to 100 km on a full charge
- It also features a removable battery
- Delivery of the electric scooter will take between 15 to 20 days
Ampere Vehicles, the EV brand of Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM), is partnering exclusively with Flipkart to roll out its range of Ampere electric scooters to the masses. The first of the scooters sold through this partnership will be the Ampere Magnus EX.
GEM said the electric scooter will be initially available on Flipkart for customers in Bangalore, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Pune. After placing their order on the e-commerce app, the nearest authorised dealer will get contact the customer for the vehicle’s insurance, RTO registration and additional delivery details. Consumers will also be able to receive subsidies and other offers, depending on their state’s EV policies.
The company says it will take up to 15 days for the scooter to be delivered from the day the order is placed on Flipkart. While this isn’t particularly convenient, it’s a shorter waiting time than we’ve seen for a few other electric scooters in the country.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Flipkart and expand the distribution of Ampere Electric scooters range to wider pockets of consumers,” CEO and Executive Director at Greaves Electric Mobility, Sanjay Behl said in a statement.
“With Flipkart’s reach and the integrated and holistic service by our local authorized dealerships, the initiative will go a long way in reaching across India for electric two-wheelers. At Greaves, we are constantly endeavouring to bring a clean, green, best-in-segment, last-mile mobility experience to users.”
