The iPhone 13 lineup is expected to include models such as the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The Mini model may feature a 5.4-inch display and the Pro Max may house a 6.7-inch screen. The iPhone 13 and 13 Pro are likely to be fitted with a 6.1-inch display. The 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max may feature OLED LTPO panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini may continue to feature 60Hz OLED panels.

Apart from supporting a high refresh rate, the iPhone 13 handsets may gain an always-on display functionality. The improved cameras on the new iPhones are expected to offer newer features such as support for portrait mode in videos, astrophotography capabilities, new photo filter features, and an improved portrait mode that makes better use of the LIDAR scanner.

The iPhone 13 series is also expected to offer an improved Face ID experience, which will make it possible to unlock iPhones with masks and foggy glasses. The iPhone 13 models may come with larger batteries as compared to the iPhone 12 series. Speculations suggest that the next-generation iPhones will support for 25W fast charging. In addition, the new iPhones may come equipped with beamforming microphone technology for improved noise cancellation during phone calls.

Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and a report by Bloomberg have claimed that the iPhone 13 series may feature a low earth orbit (OLE) satellite communication connectivity through Qualcomm’s X60 modem. This feature will allow users to make calls, send messages, and access the web in regions where there is no cellular connectivity. However, it is likely to be available only for emergency use.

As far as the design is concerned, the iPhone 13 series may not offer an overhauled design. However, it is expected to come equipped with a flatter rear camera setup, a fingerprint-resistant coating, and stainless-steel finish. In addition, the next-generation iPhones may come in new colour variants such as matte black and bronze.

The Apple Watch Series 7 is speculated to arrive in 41mm and 45mm sizes. It is expected to offer design improvements such as flat sides and thinner bezels. The Watch Series 7 is also expected to house a larger battery. Apple may also announce a more affordable SE variant of the Watch Series 7. Apart from new iPhones and smartwatches, Apple is also expected to confirm release dates for iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and macOS Monterey.
