Apple iPad Pro 2020 renders reveal triple camera setup and glass back panel

Apple launched the iPad Pro back in October 2018. It arrived in 11 and 12.9-inch screen sizes. Now the Cupertino based brand is rumoured to be working on its next-generation iPad Pro. The iPad Pro 2020 is  expected to arrive in March 2020. Now reliable tipster OnLeaks in collaboration with iGeeksBlog has shared the first renders of the iPad Pro 2020. Based on the renders, the iPad Pro 2020 flaunts the same design as the 2018 edition, apart from the triple camera module on the back panel. The camera module also bears a striking resemblance to the iPhone 11 Pro.

According to OnLeaks, the 2020 iPad Pro measures the same in terms of dimensions as the 2018 model. The square camera bump measures 7.8mm thick. The sensor arrangement is also similar to the iPhone 11 Pro. The camera setup is expected to comprise of a wide, ultra-wide, and optical zoom lenses. Rumours also suggest that the 2020 iPad Pro models could feature a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor that offers depth perception, advanced depth information and AR capabilities. The next-gen iPad Pros are also expected to come with a 3D sensing camera tech on the front.

The renders show the 11-inch iPad Pro 2020 with a metal back, just like the current models. The 12.9-inch variant is expected to sport a glass back panel just like the iPhone 11 Pro. This hints at the wireless charging feature since Apple uses glass for Qi-based wireless charging on iPhones.

The renders don’t reveal any more details on the 2020 iPad Pros. Past reports suggest that the 12.9-inch models will feature a mini-LED display. The 2020 iPad Pro is also expected to arrive with a powerful processor compared to the previous models.

The exact launch timeline of Apple iPad Pro 2020 is not known yet. We expect it to arrive in the first half of 2020.
