Exclusive: 2019 Apple iPhones Will Woo Consumers With New Design and Features, Price to Remain Same

Apple is expected to release three new iPhone models in 2019, with two of them likely to feature OLED displays. According to a new tip that we have received, the most expensive iPhone model this year could offer some major upgrades compared to the iPhone XS Max.

iPhones May Finally Adopt USB Type-C This Year

While quite a few Android OEMs have already moved away from notches, Apple will continue to use display notches this year as well. The iPhone XR successor is expected to have a wider notch than the iPhone XS Max successor, although there are some prototypes with a smaller notch as well. While the notch will not be going away this year, the 2019 iPhones are likely to feature a polished coating to help improve grip as well as scratch resistance. Another major change could be the switch to USB Type-C from Apple’s proprietary Lightning connector. However, this is not something that our source is completely sure of. There is still a possibility of all three 2019 iPhone models featuring the same lightning port as last year’s models. What our source is fairly confident about is the introduction of a new Green-ish color option for the iPhone XR successor. At the same time, Apple is said to be killing off one of the current color options. The iPhone XR is currently available in Black, White, Yellow, Coral, Red, and Blue colors. Our source also claims that the iPhone XS Max successor will offer a triple-camera setup on the back, corroborating a recent report published by The Wall Street Journal. The WSJ report had additionally revealed that the iPhone XR successor will sport an upgraded dual-lens camera setup on the back.

When it comes to pricing, our source claims the 2019 iPhone models will be priced the same as last year’s models. This means the iPhone XR successor might start at $749, while the iPhone 11 could start at $999. The ‘high-end’ iPhone 11 variant, on the other hand, could start at $1,099. However, it is important to note that the new iPhones will not arrive before September, so a lot may change by then.
