Apple has unveiled a new edition of the MacBook Pro in India. The 8-core laptop has arrived as the most powerful MacBook Pro. It will be available for purchase in 8th-generation and 9th-generation Intel Core processor models later this week through Apple Authorised Resellers in India.
Compared to the existing quad-core MacBook, the 8-core editions offer two-fold faster performance. The performance of the newly unveiled MacBook Pro models are 40 percent better than the hexa-core model. The new MacBook Pro comes in 13-inch and 15-inch editions, with a starting price of Rs 1,59,900 and Rs 1,99,900 respectively.
The new MacBook Pro models are equipped with Retina displays, high-speed SSDs, T2 security chip and all-day battery life. The base model of the 15-inch model has a 6-core Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 2.6GHz. With Turbo Boost, it runs at 4.5GHz. The next variant of the 15-inch model features the 8-core Intel Core i9 processor with a 2.3GHz clock speed. It can reach up to 4.8GHz speeds through Turbo Boost. There is a top-end model with a 2.4GHz base speed and up to 5GHz Turbo Boost speed powered by the same Core i9 8-core processor.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro with a Touch Bar now has a base model powered by an 8th gen quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with 2.4 GHz speed. Its Turbo Boost speed can reach up to 4.1GHz. The top variant of the 13-inch model has an 8th generation quad-core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.7 GHz.
The new MacBook Pro notebooks come with slightly upgraded keyboards. The keyboard has been designed with a new material in order to reduce problems such as missed key presses and double key presses that were encountered on 2018 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models.
