Apple Store online launched in India: trade-ins, student discounts, AppleCare+ and more

Last week, Apple announced that it would launch its online store in India on September 23rd. As expected, the Apple Store Online is now open to everyone. The online store is offering trade-ins, student discounts, and financing options to the customers. Additionally, there are unique features such as shopping assistance and one on one online sessions with an Apple specialist to know more about your new purchase.

Currently, Apple has listed all of its product categories on the website including iPhones, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, iPod  Touch, Apple TV and accessories. Apple is also offering free delivery on all of its products with a no-contact delivery option.

Apple is providing shopping assistance on the online store, which lets customers chat with an Apple specialist before making the purchase just like they do at a retail store. This feature lets customers seek assistance regarding the product they already have, help with an order placed or guidance in purchasing a new product.

The company is also offering students discounts and exchange of eligible devices against new iPhone purchase. Apple is accepting iPhones from the iPhone 5s to iPhone XS Max and select Samsung as well as OnePlus devices. Customers can avail up to Rs 35,000 discount with trade-ins.

Apple is also offering an option to customise Macs for those who have a set requirement. Potential Mac buyers can go to the website and tailor their new purchase with additional memory and storage or an extra-powerful graphics card. Apart from these, the Apple online store is offering Apple Care+ and also has the Apple One service bundle listed with “Coming this autumn” tag.

Additionally, Apple is offering a 6 percent cashback up to Rs 10,000 on a minimum cart value of Rs 20,900 to HDFC Bank credit card users. This offer is valid until October 16th, 2020. Users can also opt for signature gift wraps and personalised engravings on select products like iPad, Apple Pencil and AirPods.
