Apple is offering Rs 5,000 cashback on purchase from its online store in India. To recall, Apple started its online store in India on September 23rd, 2020. Four months later, the most valuable tech company in the world is still trying to challenge the likes of Flipkart and Amazon in the online consumer electronics retail space.
One factor helping Apple’s online store is the availability of new devices like the M1-powered MacBooks. Not helping the company is the higher cost of products, which are being sold at MRP on the online store. However, it is trying to make its devices accessible through no cost EMI and cashback offers. Here is everything you need to know.
Apple Store Online HDFC cashback offer
Apple is taking a page from online retailers Flipkart and Amazon India to offer a new cashback offer. The iPhone maker is offering cashback of Rs 5,000 on orders of Rs 44,900 and above. This offer comes in partnership with HDFC and customers can also get no cost EMI for six months.
This offer is available for HDFC Bank credit card and credit card EMIs only. The offer ends on January 28th, 2021 and the no-cost EMI option is only available on a 6-month installment option. Apple notes that the cashback amount will be deposited to your account within five to seven days.
Even though Apple has opened its online shop in India, it is on the backfoot due to lack of its physical store and the overall experience of shopping at Apple Store. With its physical retail stores on the way, Apple is trying to convince customers to switch with options like no cost EMI, cashback offers and exchange options on iPhone.
Apple Store Online vs third-party sellers: where should you buy?
If you are in the market for a new Apple device then you should definitely take a look at this offer. However, we also recommend checking deals on other platforms before you make the purchase. For instance, you will find better deals on iPhone through third party sellers than from Apple.
However, if you are looking to buy the new MacBook Air or MacBook Pro powered by Apple’s own M1 silicon, then you should consider Apple Store Online. Apple M1 MacBook Air and M1 MacBook Pro start at Rs 92,900 and Rs 1,22,900 respectively. With purchase of both the models, you will get cashback of Rs 5,000.
As always, it is highly recommended that you check multiple retail options before you purchase any electronics device. The iPhone 11, one of the popular iPhone models in India, is available for Rs 54,990 on Apple Store Online. After the cashback offer, it drops to Rs 49,990.
However, the same device is available for Rs 49,999 on both Amazon India and Flipkart. Over at Flipkart, you can get additional Rs 1,000 off with ICICI Bank Credit and Debit cards. This brings the effective cost down to Rs 48,999. Apple authorised resellers are offering iPhone 11 for Rs 49,990 with effective cashback of Rs 5,000 with EMI transactions on HDFC Bank Debit and Credit Cards and Non-EMI transaction on HDFC Bank Credit Cards. There is also up to Rs 12,000 exchange bonus available on the smartphone.
Apple authorised resellers are also offering HDFC Bank cashback of Rs 9,000 and Rs 6,000 on iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 respectively. There is also an exchange bonus of Rs 3,000 on both the models. The cashback is applicable on full swipe, no cost EMI and standard EMI offers on HDFC Bank Debit and Credit cards. Apple Store Online may not be the place for best offers just yet in India.
