It is believed that the second-generation Apple Watch SE will replace the original Apple Watch SE. Apple introduced Apple Watch SE in 2020, offering an affordable watch option for Apple Watch enthusiasts.
It is now reported that the original Apple Watch SE will likely replace the Series 3 as the new entry-level model. In India, Apple Watch SE costs Rs 29,900, while Apple Watch Series 3 costs Rs 20,900. Accordingly, Apple Watch SE will be the cheapest smartwatch in Apple’s lineup after the September 7 event.
In 2017, Apple launched Apple Watch Series 3. Apple Watch Series 4 and later models will be supported by watchOS 9. Consequently, Apple Watch Series 3 won’t receive an OS update this year.
On Wednesday, Apple is expected to unveil four new iPhone 14 models at its “Far Out” event. The event may also see the launch of Apple’s AirPods Pro. They are the second generation of Apple’s premium TWS range, AirPods Pro. The event will take place at Apple’s Cupertino campus in the US, the company’s first big event since the pandemic two years ago.
