Asus Republic of Gamers has today announced the launch of world’s thinnest gaming laptop Zephyrus in India. The laptop is powered by 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 (Kaby Lake) processor and the latest NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 graphics. It carries a price tag of Rs 2,99,990 and will be unveiled in India on 20th August on the sidelines of ROG Masters South Asia finale.
The Zephyrus features an ultra-slim design with an ROG-exclusive specially designed cooling system called as Active Aerodynamic System. It maximizes system stability as well as gaming and thermal performance, and it allows full utilization of the CPU and GPU. Thus allowing gamers to engage in marathon sessions without fear of interruption. The laptop also features ROG signature lighting effects with customizable ASUS Aura RGB LED. It houses a 15.6-inch super-fast 120Hz display panel with wide-view technology. The display is also claimed to offer 100 percent sRGB colour gamut and NVIDIA G-SYNC™ for breathtaking gaming visuals. For cooling, the laptop gets a fan with3D-curved surface cover to enhance the airflow and move heat away from the components more efficiently.
The Zephyrus is also claimed to offer an increased 20 percent of air-flow when the lid is open. Asus has also placed the keyboard at the front of the chassis providing a more comfortable experience. The keyboard is backlit as well features customizable effects for the WASD and QWER key groups. Asus has placed the touchpad quite ergonomically as well.
