ASUS has a line-up of impressive gaming smartphones under its ROG Phone series. The last smartphone in the series was the ROG Phone 2 that was launched in China in July last year. Now, the next-generation ASUS ROG Phone 3 has been the talk of the town since the Taiwanese brand announced its partnership with Tencent on Weibo for the upcoming device.

Notably, Tencent (developer of PUBG, Call of Dute: Mobile and more) has announced that it will be bringing hardware performance optimisations to the ASUS ROG Phone 3. This made the ASUS ROG Phone 3 one of the much-anticipated launches in recent times. Now close on the heels of the Snapdragon 865 Plus announcement, Flipkart has announced that the ASUS ROG Phone 3 India launch will be on July 22nd.

According to a banner on the Flipkart, ASUS will launch the ROG Phone 3 in India on July 22nd. We now know that the upcoming launch will be available on Flipkart, however, the pricing remains under the wraps. Notably, the smartphone will launch in India on the same day as its Taiwan launch.

ASUS ROG Phone 3 specifications and features

According to latest TENAA leak, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 specifications will seemingly include a 6.59-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, which is the industry best at the moment. As mentioned before, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will be the world’s first phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. The chipset will be accompanied by an Adreno 650 GPU, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB storage.

In the optics department, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 is speculated to feature a 64-megapixel triple camera setup with a telephoto lens and a wide-angle sensor. On the front, the gaming phone is expected to come with a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Other features include Android 10 OS with ROG UI, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 6,000mAh battery with 30W HyperCharge support.
