ASUS is set to unveil the ROG Phone 5 in its home country on March 10th at 7pm local time (4:30 pm IST). The fourth-generation gaming smartphone has been previously spotted on Geekbench, TENAA database and China’s 3C certification site.

Now the ROG Phone 5 has appeared on DXOMARK, which reveals the design and key specifications of the device. The listing also mentions the audio performance of the upcoming gaming smartphone. Let’s take a look below.
ASUS ROG Phone 5 design, specifications
As per the official image posted on DxOMark, the ASUS ROG Phone 5 will feature a new design. The back panel looks flat with a geometrical pattern on the bottom half. There is an RGB logo and Republic of Gamers branding. A horizontal camera module housing three sensors are located at the top. Unlike its predecessor, there is no heat vent and aerodynamic system chamber on the back panel.
On the front, the ROG Phone 5 is seen with bezels at the top of the display which is the same as the ROG Phone 3. There are two physical buttons on the right side of the phone which we assume to be power and volume rocker buttons.
According to DxOMark, the ROG Phone 5 will be equipped with four built-in microphones, dual front-firing speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will come with Dirac tuning technology. In audio tests, the gaming phone scores overall 79 points in recording and 78 in playback. It emerged as the new top smartphone beating the Mi 10 Pro by 3 points in audio performance.
Coming to the core specifications, the ROG Phone 5 will be powered by Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 8GB and 16GB RAM. As per reports, the ROG Phone 5 is expected to come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The gaming phone is expected to be backed by dual-cell 3,000mAh battery units with support for 65W fast charging.
