ASUS has announced all new ZenBook lineup at the ongoing Computex in Taiwan. The latest unveiling includes the ZenBook 13, 14, 15 and the new ZenBook Edition 30. The new laptops arrive with class leading hardware and innovative features like the intelligent touchpad – ScreenPad 2.0. ASUS has fitted the new laptops with 8th Gen Intel Core processors and an optional GeForce GTX 1650. Let us take a closer look at all the new features the ZenBook has to offer.
ASUS is offering a four-sided frameless NanoEdge display with a staggering screen to body ratio of 95 percent. The company claims that this gives the ZenBook one of the most compact footprints. The design language reflects the compactness and mobility of laptops. ASUS says that the borderless design will help in achieving a more immersive experience. ASUS is also offering a Royal Blue anodised finish with gold lid logos and a Rose Gold trim bar above the keyboard.
The top of the line option comes with 8th Generation Intel Core i7 CPU’s paired with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q graphics, 16GB RAM and gigabit-class Wi-Fi 5. Additionally, Bluetooth 5.0 is expected to keep a check on battery consumption and yet offer superior connectivity.
All the new ZenBooks are equipped with PCIe SSD’s. Wi-Fi 5(802.11) will offer better speeds while downloading and streaming. Despite the high-end hardware, ASUS claims that the ZenBook 13 and 14 will last for 14 hours while the ZenBook 15 will last for am impressive 17 hours on a single charge.
We were all excited about seeing the Asus screenpad last year. Now, Asus has taken it to the next level with ScreenPad 2.0. The 5.65-inch touchscreen is designed to increase productivity and to handle efficient workflow. It offers features like handwriting for natural text input, and a Number Key for faster typing. ASUS is also allowing third-party developers to optimise their software and better the user experience for ScreenPad.
Furthermore, the company claims that the hardware is much more efficient than its predecessor and consumes 2.5x times less power than its predecessor.
ZenBook Edition 30
ASUS is celebrating its 30 years with a limited edition ZenBook. Edition 30 comes wrapped in leather and unique design. This is not the first time Asus has offered a leather-finished laptop. In 2006 the company launched S6F Leather Collection which was one of the first laptops to come with leather panels.
The ZenBook Edition 30 features a lid wrapped up in Pearl White genuine leather. The trim bar is finished in Rose Gold while the 30th-anniversary logo is plated in gold. Other novelties include Pearl White mouse, a leather look book and a genuine-leather sleeve.
