ASUS has introduced new offerings in its ZenBook line up. The ASUS ZenBook 14 (UX434) and ZenBook 15 (UX534) are compact bezel-less laptops with a secondary touchscreen called the ScreenPad 2.0. Meanwhile, the ASUS ZenBook Flip 13 (UX362) is claimed to be the world’s most compact convertible laptop.
ASUS ZenBook Flip 13: specifications and features
The ZenBook Flip is the first convertible laptop by ASUS to feature a four-sided frameless NanoEdge display design. It features a 13.3-inch LED Backlit FHD touchscreen display panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. There are thin bezels around the display panel with a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent. The ASUS ZenBook Flip 13 also sports a wide 100 percent sRGB colour gamut. Performance-wise, the convertible is equipped with up to Intel Core i7-8565U processor with 8GB of RAM onboard and 512GB SSD storage. The graphics are handled by Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU. It runs Windows 10 Home and weighs 1.3kg.
The convertible offering also features a small 3D IR webcam with ‘see-in-the-dark’ capability and support for Windows Hello. It comes with ASUS SonicMaster stereo audio system with surround-sound, a smart amplifier and an array microphone with Cortana voice-recognition support. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included in the package. For connectivity, the laptop features Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11ac), two Type-C USB 3.1 ports, one audio combo jack and one DC input port. The ASUS ZenBook Flip 13 laptop is fuelled by a 50Wh 3-cell lithium-polymer battery which can last for up to 13 hours on a single charge.
ASUS ZenBook 14, ZenBook 15: specifications and features
Both the ZenBook 14 and 15 come with a four-sided frameless NanoEdge display with thin bezels and 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. They also play host to Screen Pad 2.0 and support for up to four smart gestures. The ZenBook 14 plays host to a 14-inch panel with an FHD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, optional touchscreen and 178-degree wide-view technology. The ZenBook 15, on the other hand, has a 15.6-inch panel with the same features. In terms of performance, the ZenBooks feature up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7 -8565U processors. The ZenBook 14 offers up to an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU, while the ZenBook 15 offers up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU.
Both the laptops have up to 1TB PCle SSD storage and up to 16GB of RAM. The ZenBook 14 offers up to 12.3 hours of battery life, while the ZenBook 15 claims to provide 14.9 hours on a single charge. The former comes with an exclusive Quiet Fan App which lets users choose the level of operating noise. The larger ZenBook sports a dual heat pipe system to keep the system cool. A 3D IR HD webcam is included in both the laptops and so is Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac. The sound system is the same as the ZenBook Flip 13, but it comes with support for Amazon Alexa instead of Cortana. A USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 2, USB Type-A Gen 2, USB 2.0, HDMI, microSD card reader and audio combo jack ports are available.
ASUS ZenBook Flip 13, ZenBook 14, ZenBook 15: price and availability
The ZenBook Flip 13 has been launched with a starting price of Rs 76,990. The ASUS ZenBook 14 starts from Rs 79,990 while the ASUS ZenBook 15’s base model comes with a price tag of Rs 1,19,990. All the products will be available on Amazon, Flipkart and Paytm for buying.
