At the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, we have seen a range of laptops already showcased. Laptop manufacturers joined the bezel-less display bandwagon last year and many have followed the trend. Now Taiwanese electronics manufacturer ASUS has taken the wraps off ithe ZenBook S13. It is touted as th laptop with the world’s slimmest bezels. Let’s delve into the technical specifications of the device.
Display & Design:
The ZenBook S13 (UX392) sports a 13.9-inch FHD display. It is surrounded by slim bezels measuring just 2.5mm. According to ASUS, the laptop offers an impressive 97 per cent screen-to-body ratio. There is a protruding bezel on the top which accommodates the HD webcam. It also serves as a tab for lifting the lid. The Zenbook S13 weighs 1.3 kg. The laptop is also equipped with MIL-STD 810G military standards for durability. The S13 is available in an Utopia Blue color.
Under the hood, the ZenBook S13 (UX392) is available in two processor configurations. Consumers can pick up one with either an 8th Gen Core i5-8265U or an i7-8565U chipset. The laptop supports up to 16GB RAM and offers up to 1TB storage capacity in form of an SSD. The Zenbook S13 also features a discrete NVIDIA GeForce M150 chip onboard. Also onboard, a fingerprint scanner is integrated into the touchpad for Windows Hello authentication.
Battery & Connectivity:
Battery life on the ZenBook S13 (UX392) is estimated at 15 hours with the 50Wh battery unit. On the connectivity front, the laptop comes with two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, one USB 3.1 Type-A port, and one microSD card slot. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting audio accessories.
Pricing & Availability:
ASUS hasn’t announced the price of ZenBook S13. The laptop is expected to launch in Q1 this year. We will keep you updated once the device is launched.
