Asus launched its flagship Zenfone 5Z with a notch display earlier this year. The Taiwanese company could already be working on the Zenfone 6, as prototypes of the device have surfaced on the internet.
According to the leaked photographs, Asus is experimenting with different notches on the Zenfone 6. Beginning with the first leaked image, the Zenfone 6 prototype is placed alongside the Zenfone 5Z. Asus has placed the front camera in the top left corner of its display. The tiny cutout paves the way for a greater screen-to-body ratio. The device flaunts a notch-less design surrounded by slim bezels. There is a slightly thicker chin below the display, and the bottom edge features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
The second image reveals the front camera fitted in a notch in the top right corner of the screen. The third image hints at a waterdrop notch at top centre as seen on the Oppo F9 & Vivo V11.
All the three leaked prototypes sport a glass back with fingerprint scanner located in the center. The prototypes are shown in two different variants for the rear camera setup. One of the prototypes features a triple rear camera setup while the other two come with a dual rear camera.
It’s worth noting that these are just prototypes of the Zenfone 6. There is no guarantee on the design and the final product might not be similar. It will be interesting to see the new design and we hope that Asus brings out those changes in its next smartphone.
