ASUS ZenFone 6 Confirmed To Feature Snapdragon 855 Processor And 5,000mAh Battery

ASUS’s upcoming flagship, the ZenFone 6 is scheduled to launch on May 16th in Valencia, Spain. The device is the successor to last year’s Zenfone 5Z. Recently, the company had shared the first teaser of the upcoming smartphone revealing a full-screen design. Now the latest teaser published on Twitter confirms several key features and specifications of the Zenfone 6.

The teaser image confirms the presence of Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 processor under the hood. In the camera department, an ASUS executive tipped the presence of a dual rear camera in the form of Morse code. It comprises of a 48MP primary sensor accompanied by a 13MP secondary sensor. The code also reveals a 5,000mAh battery unit powering the device.

The teaser image reveals a notification LED and 3.5mm audio jack for plugging in headphones. The ZenFone 6 will come with a a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion, along with dual-SIM slots. The device will also feature a Smart key that may be used to trigger the Google Assistant. The volume rocker and power button are located on the right side of the phone.

The recent teaser has confirmed that the ZenFone 6 will come with a full screen display. The Snapdragon 855 processor is expected to be paired with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and come in 128/256GB internal storage variants. In other news, ASUS recently confirmed that last year’s flagship Zenfone 5Z will be the company’s first device to get Android Q.
