Recent leaks have revealed that the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be featuring a 6-inch IPS LCD notched display that will produce Full HD+ resolution. It will be equipped with a glass rear panel. The Snapdragon 660 chipset is rumored to power the smartphone. The ZenFone Max Pro M2 is expected to come in two variants – 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB of RAM with 128GB storage.
The back panel of the phone will be featuring a vertical dual camera setup that may feature a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor. It could feature a 13-megapixel front shooter. Like its predecessor, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 could be packed with a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging technology. There is no information available on whether it will be running on Android Oreo or Android Pie, but it is expected to deliver a stock Android experience.
As revealed by notable tipster Roland Quandt, ASUS is also gearing up to launch the ZenFone Max M2, which will be a toned-down variant of the Pro model. It is tipped to feature a metal body with a 6-inch notched FHD+ screen. The device will feature a larger notch than the M2 Pro. A Snapdragon 636 chipset may power the phone along with 4GB of RAM. It may hit the market in 32GB and 64GB storage versions. The dual camera setup on its rear will reportedly feature a 13-megapixel main sensor. At the time of writing, there are no details on the secondary sensor. The exact size of the battery that powers the smartphone is yet to be revealed.
There is no confirmation on whether the ZenFone Max M2 will be announced alongside the M2 Pro on December 11th. We’ll have more details next week, so stay tuned.
