Asus has announced its third generation of wearable dubbed as ZenWatch 3. It is the first wearable device in India to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. This year turns out to be good for the Taiwanese company with its latest ZenFone 3 series and now the company is trying to push its limits in the wearable market with its latest ZenWatch 3.
The ZenWatch 3 sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 400×400 pixels and 287 pixel density. The display is also protected against scratches and damage with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. It comes with two different choices of leather and rubber straps.
As it is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor which is specially designed for wearable devices, it provides 25% more battery backup. The ZenWatch 3 also comes with HypeCharge technology which company claims to provide 60% of charge just within 15 minutes of charging. Asus is also offering an additional battery pack which provides 40% more battery life.
Asus ZenWatch 3 is full-featured with activity trackers to improve and measure your fitness everyday. The all new ZenFIT app which synchronises with the watch automatically counts the number of steps taken by the user in a day with 95% accuracy. It also reminds the user to move in case of prolonged inactivity. The ZenWatch 3 also comes with an IP67 certification for water and dust resistant, so you won’t have to worry about the sweat and inclement weather.
Talking about the specs, the ZenWatch 3 runs is powered by Android Wear and works with both Android and iOS devices. It comes with 512MB of LPDDR2 RAM and 4GM on internal storage. It supports up to two fingers touch and comes with 6-axis (G+A) and ambient light sensor. It has a diameter of 45mm and available in two colours – Silver and Gunmetal.
