- The Citroën Ë-C3 could be released by March 2023
- Rumours suggest the EV could be priced between Rs 10-12 lakhs
- The EV may have a slightly bigger battery than the one used on the Tata Tiago EV
It’s been well over a month since the Citroën Ë-C3 EV was teased by the manufacturer. Since then, the French automaker has posted another teaser of the EV in late December, and we’ve got another one today.
The company posted the latest teaser on Facebook, although it doesn’t tell us much about the EV itself. Instead, we’re treated to a silhouette of the Ë-C3, followed by some upbeat words to hype up the vehicle’s arrival.
A worthy Tata Tiago EV competitor?
While much of the details about the Ë-C3 EV are still under wraps, it is positioned to compete with Tata Motors’ cheapest electric hatchback, the Tiago EV. However, the Ë-C3 is rumoured to cost between Rs 10-12 lakhs, which would offer a significant advantage to Tata.
But if reports of the Ë-C3 using a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack are accurate, the EV may offer a range of up to 350 km. By comparison, the two battery versions of the Tata Tiago EV — 19.2kWh and 24kWh — can only run for 250 and 315 km, respectively.
Although there were reports of the company unveiling the Ë-C3 at the 2023 Auto Expo, Citroën decided not to showcase it at the event. The manufacturer may unveil it at a standalone event before the end of March.
