One of the blockbuster Hollywood films of 2022, Avatar: The Way of Water, was loved by the audience right from the day it released. Avatar: The Way of Water released globally in December 2022 and owing to the excitement, fans rushed to pre-book the tickets well. Within the first few weeks of the release, the team had announced the OTT rights, and an announcement made on social media, on March 7, 2023, revealed that fans can watch Avatar: The Way of Water on Disney+ Hotstar on March 28, 2023.
An official announcement was made by the production house on film’s official social media channels. The message read, “Return to Pandora whenever you want at home, only on Digital March 28. Get access to over three hours of never-before-seen extras when you add #AvatarTheWayOfWater to your movie collection.”

Presented as an action adventure film, the premise of Avatar: The Way of Water revolves around Jake Sully and Ney’tiri’s family. While they are staying together, the duo faces several challenges and threats owing to which they decide to explore Pandora. The official premise, as shared by the makers on IMDb, reads, “Jake Sully lives with his newfound family formed on the extrasolar moon, Pandora. Once a familiar threat returns to finish what was previously started, Jake must work with Neytiri and the army of the Na’vi race to protect their home.”

Avatar: The Way of Water – Box Office Collections
Box office report released as of March 6, 2023, mentioned that the film has crossed a worldwide total of $2.283 billion, of which $671 million were from the United States and Canada and $1.612 billion from other territories. Trade media announced this to be the 11th-biggest of all time and followed Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness becoming the third largest among the releases post the coronavirus pandemic. Moreover, makers also announced that the film became the fourth among the many to hit the $1 billion milestone in the pandemic era and first film in pandemic era to reach the milestone.
