Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI): how to download the APK, update beta to final version and more

Battlegrounds Mobile India final version is finally available on the Google Play Store. Krafton, the game’s developer had initially made the early access program available for all users, and now users can directly download the final version.

Users who have been waiting for the PUBG Mobile alternative can now access the game, as well as some exclusive rewards that are available to access until August 19th, 2021.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI): how to download APK?

  1. Head to this link on the Google Play Store
  2. Click on install
  3. If you signed up to be an early access tester of the game, you will see a Beta version
  4. Scroll down on the listing until you find “You’re a Beta Tester”
  5. Click on “Leave”
  6. You can now download the final version

In case you’re still not able to see the final version of the game, clear the cache on the Play Store app and then try and update.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI): APK download size

The early access APK weighs approximately 750MB in download size, however with maps and other downloaded content the file size becomes 1.74GB.

The low spec resource file weighs about 380MB while the HD resource pack is around 620MB.

How to transfer PUBG Mobile account to BGMI

The good news is that PUBG Mobile users will be able to transfer their data to BGMI. Officially, Krafton only allows data transfers for accounts linked with Twitter or Facebook. However, there is a workaround that will enable transfers even if you have a Google or email login. It’s worth noting that the transfer won’t be possible after December 31st, 2021 and once the migration is complete, the user’s personal data from PUBG will be deleted. Additionally, accounts created on PUBG Mobile after June 1st, 2021 will not be eligible for data transfers. 

Battlegrounds Mobile India: top features

Battlegrounds Mobile India comes with a host of similarities to PUBG Mobile including maps, vehicles and more. Krafton has already revealed that the Battlegrounds Mobile India will feature the Erangel map, UAZ off-road vehicle and more.

The game is free to play and developed for Indian users only. Battlegrounds Mobile India will have its own esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues. The game will come with stricter restrictions for minors. It will not allow players under the age of 18 years to play for more than 3 hours a day and spend more than Rs 7,000 for in-game purchases.

Those who download BGMI before August 19th will receive several rewards, including Supply Crate Coupons, Classic Crate Coupons and a Constable Set.
