It’s official, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been launched in India. Krafton posted an update on its website and official social handles at 6.30am this morning. The game, which was made available as an early access download for beta testers on July 17th, has already surpassed the 10 million downloads mark as of this morning.

BGMI is essentially a rebranded version of the now-banned PUBG Mobile. The game carries forward many features of PUBG, including the gameplay, events, weapons, skins and much more.

BGMI: how to update Early Access game to final version

If you’re already on the early access version of BGMI, all you need to do is update your app to the official launch version from the Play Store. The update size file weighs approximately 137MB.

Why is the official BGMI Play Store listing still showing Beta version?

Do note, if you signed up to be a beta tester and update the app, you’ll still have access to the beta version, which means you will receive new features before the general public. As always, beta versions of the game are bound to include some bugs, so if you want to leave the beta version, just scroll down on the Play Store app listing until you see “You’re a beta tester”. Tap on “Leave” to exit the beta program.

What to do if you can’t update BGMI to final version?

If you still don’t see the final version, clear the cache of the Play Store and then check. If this doesn’t work, restart your phone and try again.

BGMI: minimum system requirements

As per Krafton, the system requirements to download BGMI are an Android phone running Android 5.1.1 and above and at least 2GB of RAM. The game is yet to be released on iOS.

BGMI: list of free rewards

At the time when early access was announced, BGMI had announced various rewards including those at sign up, and for when the game reaches 1 million, 5 million and 10 million downloads, respectively. The deadline for claiming all these gifts has been extended to August 19th, so even users who did not sign up for the early access version will be able to claim these.

The game crossed the 10 million downloads mark this morning, which means all four rewards are available to claim.

Here’s the full list of rewards:

  • Supply Crate Coupon *1 (Sign up)
  • Supply Crate Coupon *2 (1 million downloads)
  • Classic Crate Coupon *1 (5 million downloads)
  • Constable Set (10 million downloads)

Apart from this, players will also be eligible to get a free purple outfit, and other rewards like outfits and weapon skins as more players join launch events in the game.
