Android Go is Google’s lite operating system that is designed to run on entry-level smartphones. Apart from the operating system itself, Android Go also comes with a custom Play Store that displays apps created to run on lower-powered hardware. Google has also developed special apps for Android Go, such as Google Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go and more. The Redmi Go is an affordable smartphone with a 5-inch display and an aspect ratio of 16:9. With thick bezels on the top and bottom, the display has a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The internal storage at the time of launch was 8GB but recently, Xiaomi announced a variant with 16GB of storage in the market. It features an 8MP rear shooter and a 5MP selfie snapper. The Xiaomi Redmi Go relies on a 3,000mAh battery and supports 20 Indian languages. The offering runs Android Go based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone’s USP is its 4,000mAh battery. It has an 8MP rear snapper and a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calling. 3. Samsung Galaxy J2 Core


The Galaxy J2 Core by Samsung plays host to a 5-inch LCD display with a low resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The phone sports thick bezels on all four sides, as is common in the price range. It runs on the Samsung Exynos 7570 quad-core processor with a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. The device carries an 8MP rear camera with an LED Flasf along with a 5MP selfie snapper. It also houses a 2,600mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). It sports a Samsung Exynos 7870 octa-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also hosts a 5MP front and rear camera. Additionally, the device relies on a 2,600mAh battery capacity to keep it running and comes equipped with Android 9.0 Pie (Go edition). You can get your hands on this phone for Rs 5,290.

5. Nokia 1

The Nokia 1 has recently received an update to Android 9 Pie (Go edition) and comes laden with a compact 4.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The device is equipped with MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, the device features a 5MP rear snapper with an LED Flash and a 2MP selfie shooter. It carries a 2,150mAh battery capacity and can be bought for a price of Rs 3,890.
