BGMI Lite official poll suggests launch could be around the corner

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) could finally be getting a “Lite” version soon. After being teased as a possibility by Indian gamers like Indian Esports player, Sagar “Maxtern” Thakur, the official Discord channel of BGMI shared a poll asking people why they want a Lite version of the game.

Since PUBG: Mobile was banned and BGMI took over as India’s own battle royale game, some players are still struggling with running the game on their low-end devices. Prior to the ban, PUBG: Mobile’s Lite version called “PUBG Mobile Lite” was very popular among players with low-end devices. Since PUBG Mobile Lite is also banned alongside PUBG: Mobile, players are looking forward to a Lite version of Battlegrounds Mobile India.

BGMI Lite could launch in India soon

The official Discord channel for BGMI recently rolled out a poll asking players why they want a Lite version of the game. The poll included four options to choose from:

  • A: I can’t play BGMI on my low-end device.
  • B: I can play BGMI, but I’ll have better frame rates and performance in the Lite version on my device.
  • C: I spent money in the Lite version and want to transfer my data/inventory
  • D: I like the maps and Skins in the Lite version.

When will BGMI Lite release?

Given the official poll, Krafton might release the game soon considering many players haven’t played the game because of their low-end devices. Additionally, Indian esports players also shared their view of BGMI Lite and how it’ll benefit players who are yet to play India’s own battle royale game.

If Krafton releases BGMI Lite, it is likely to adopt the same system requirement as PUBG: Lite. The game will be able to run at the most basic settings, including 1GB of RAM, 600MB-700MB free storage and the latest Android version. Krafton has yet to reveal the official release date of BGMI Lite. But it is safe to say the game will be available soon, and players with low-end devices could finally play BGMI without any performance issues.
