The story of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever revolves around “Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje who fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers after the death of beloved King T’Challa.” The Marvel Cinematic Universe took to YouTube to share the trailer with a message that said, “Show them who we are.”
The premise of the prequel, which was released in 2018 film reads, “After the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, young T’Challa returns home to the isolated high-tech African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king – and Black Panther – is tested when he’s drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Pre-Release and Box Office Collections
The filming of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever began in February 2018; however, due to actor Chadwick Boseman’s demise in 2020, the team made changes to the story, paying tribute to Chadwick’s demise, and hence the makers did not cast any actor for the role of T’Challa. Director Ryan Coogler released the film in memory of the late actor.
After multiple delays, the film was first released as a special premiere in October 2022 and then in theatres on November 11, 2022. From its theatrical run in India, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever collected over Rs. 48.50 crores, whereas records state that the prequel starring Chadwick made over Rs. 52 Cr from India.

Fans in India can watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with a Disney+ Hotstar subscription which can be purchased on the platform’s website or mobile application. With one of the subscription plans, users can enjoy content like original shows and films from Disney, sports, television content, news and more.
Users can choose from the Disney+ Hotstar ‘Super’ or ‘Premium’ plans which are available for Rs. 899 and Rs 1,499, respectively, for a year. One can stream content on up to two devices at Full HD resolution on the Super Plan; however, selected content offerings will be ad-supported.
In order to enjoy ad-free content in 4K format and on four devices, one can choose the Premium plan either annually for Rs. 1,499 or monthly basis for Rs. 299, where content access will be given to four devices compatible on TV, smartphones and laptop.
